What qualifications do I need?

Foundations tasks need no experience — just a computer, reliable internet, and attention to detail. Skilled tasks look for strong writing or language ability. Professional and Expert tasks require relevant degrees, licenses, or work experience, which we verify.

Why do I need to verify my identity?

We pay real money to real people, so every contributor completes a one-time identity check with Verifix before applying. You'll need a government-issued ID, a proof of address, and a device with a camera. Your documents are reviewed by Verifix and are never shared on Groundwork.

How much can I earn?

Rates range from $10/hr to $200/hr depending on the task. Each listing shows its range. Where you land within the range depends on your assessment and ongoing quality scores.

How does payment work?

You log time on each task. Hours are reviewed and paid out weekly. Payment options vary by country.

Can I work on more than one task type?

Yes. Apply to as many task types as you qualify for. Many contributors mix a Foundations task with a Professional one.

How do I move up to a higher tier?

Maintain high quality scores and pass the assessment for the next tier. Some tiers also require verified credentials, such as a license or degree.

Is this a full-time job?

Work is project-based and flexible. Contributors are independent contractors and choose their own hours.
